MoMu's Valentine's Day Gift Guide

Maya Bolsens creates unique ceramic sculptures and utensils by hand in her Antwerp studio. Her intuitive and playful approach results in rich colours and experimental textures. She combines organic forms with geometric patterns to evoke dualism. Each piece is unique and stamped by the artist. For MoMu, she designed this tongue-in-cheek Valentine's brooch.

Inspired by rock posters from the '60s and '70s, this original artwork by Miguel Villalobos pays homage to that iconic era. Created by the textile artisans of Effe2 in collaboration with fashion writer Diane Pernet's A Shaded View on Fashion Film (ASVOFF), using traditional Italian luxury manufacturing techniques and sustainable processes.

The second issue of Violet Papers, the popular fashion and beauty magazine by Lara Violetta, dives into the world of theatre, aiming to create a '90s publication vibe. Inspired by Capote's idea that the future exists in the past, it highlights the performative aspect of fashion and focuses on text over images.
