On Saturday, 8 March, International Women's Day, PULSE curates an inclusive and empowering programme that ensures safer spaces for women, transmasculine and non-binary people.

The panel talk ‘Sapphic Love & Relationships while being a QPOC’ highlights the stories of Black lesbians, focusing on the unique experiences of Black women in the French and Belgian queer community.

Mariana Benenge and Stencia Yambogaza, founders of PULSE, will engage in a conversation with Bo Meng and Ophélie Joh about Black lesbian love, intersectionality, community, and self-discovery.

The conversation addresses joy, grief, and the challenges these women face in a world that often misrepresents them.

Bo Meng

Bo Meng is a Black and queer DJ who stands out by mixing sounds exclusively created by artists of African descent. Her signature blend of afrobeats, dancehall, and house music stems from her proud Congolese heritage.

Ophélie Joh

Ophélie Joh is a queer, engaged artist who moves between theatre, singing, dance, and performance, embodying characters that challenge norms and celebrate the diversity of identities. She also offers twerk workshops to encourage self-affirmation and body positivity.
