In 2024, MoMu organized the first women-only event as part of the Augurism. exhibition by artist Baloji, dedicated to Tshala, a character from his film Augure. In honour of International Women's Day, a second edition now follows. On Saturday, 8 March, PULSE curates an inclusive and empowering programme that ensures safer spaces for women, transmasculine and non-binary people.

PULSE was founded by Stencia Yambogaza and Mariana Benenge, with the aim of offering women, but also transmasculine and non-binary people, a safer space to come together. As Black lesbian women, the founders welcome all women wish to reclaim their bodies, desires, and sexuality.

The evening consists of an all-female lineup of DJs and performers. DJs Lola Ondi Kwa and 22heures30 will deliver sets that keep you dancing, while dancers Aoki Da Snake and La Dingue heat up the MoMu Atrium. Host GG Palmer will keep the vibe going throughout the evening. And, as the crowning moment: a spectacular showcase by singer-songwriter Drea Dury.

22heures30

22heures30 is a DJ from Brussels. She has been making a mark on Belgium's club scene with a mix of bangers and classics, ranging from urban over afro to dancehall.

Lola Ondi Kwa

Lola Ondi Kwa, a Franco-Ivorian artist, DJ, philosopher, feminist, and queer, blends Afrodiasporic and Pan-African sounds. She champions inclusivity and diversity on the dancefloor.

Aoki Da Snake

Trained in dance from a young age, Aoki Da Snake started teaching dancehall and hip-hop while still in school, honing her teaching skills. As a teenager, she sought her identity through dance, leading her to pole dance. Today, Aoki performs across Europe and teaches various dance styles.

Drea Dury

Drea Dury is a multidisciplinary artist from Colombia, based in Brussels. As a singer, songwriter, and artistic director, she combines her passion for music with global collaborations to create her own projects, such as Atardece and Palmera Nights.

La Dingue

A multi-talented artist and performer from Switzerland with an international career, La Dingue has graced some of the world’s biggest stages. Creative and passionate, she combines technique and expression to deliver unique and memorable performances.

GG Palmer

GG Palmer, an iconic figure in the ballroom community, is a multidisciplinary artist, model, actress, host, and movement director, 30 years old, from Paris. From her first role in Gaspar Noé's film Climax to performing at the Opéra Bastille in Les Indes Galantes, GG Palmer is a true chameleon.
