Family Sunday: Button up your favourite style

Every first Sunday of the month, MoMu opens its doors with a surprising activity for the whole family. Join us on a world tour during storytime, go on a treasure hunt through the museum, or roll up your sleeves during a creative workshop!

During this Family Sunday, we will get acquainted with the Punk Special Collection and the Ballet Russes Special Collection from the FATE® Fashion And Textiles Education Archive: two unique collections that can only be admired at MoMu during the month of March. So, make sure you don't miss this opportunity.

Are you a fan of punk or do you prefer the Ballet Russes? To answer that question, we will first dive deeper into both worlds. Explore the MoMu Library with your (grand)parents, friends, brothers, sisters, etc. You will have the chance to view and study these garments up close to find an answer to the question: punk or the Ballet Russes?

Afterwards, take a seat at the workshop table: we will make a button that represents our favourite style using bottle caps, safety pins, and textiles! Will you step out as a true punk or will it be the Ballet Russes? Or maybe both, because that's possible too!
