CLU++ER: Creativity + Collaboration in Fashion Education

Fashion is a unique blend of the tangible and the intangible. It combines craftsmanship and material knowledge with storytelling and imagination, creating a cycle where individual creativity influences the group, and vice versa.

In his new book, designer and educator Andrea Cammarosano explores how this dynamic can be applied in education. He suggests that skills training and craftsmanship—the foundations of tangible creation in fashion—can serve as tools to connect personal discoveries with collective imagination.

This journey began at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, where Cammarosano graduated in 2008, and evolved over the next four years to include two other renowned institutions: HEAD, Haute École des Arts et Design in Geneva and NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. Thanks to a collaboration with the innovative textile company GruppoCinque, in-depth research into craftsmanship and materials was made possible.

This book is intended for anyone passionate about craftsmanship and materials, and for those who wish to use these skills to build strong and creative teams.

CLU++ER: Creativity + Collaboration in Fashion Education is the result of Andrea Cammarosano's PhD research at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and ARIA/UAntwerp, and is published by Track Report / Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, in collaboration with Haute École des Arts et Design (Geneva, CH) and Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (Milan, IT), with the support of GruppoCinque Luxury Fabrics and MoMu - ModeMuseum Antwerp.

During the book launch, Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp will host a talk with Andrea Cammarosano, Johan Pas, and Walter Van Beirendonck at the MoMu Auditorium. Reservation is free, book your spot here.
